This Privacy Policy explains how GB Projects Inc. d/b/a Groovebook ("GrooveBook," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the GrooveBook app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

To provide the Service, we collect the account details you give us (your name and email address), the shipping address where you want your photobooks delivered, and the photos you select each month for printing. If you subscribe through our website, payment is handled by our payment processor and we receive limited billing details such as your card type and the last four digits — we never see or store your full card number. If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google handles your payment entirely and we receive only a confirmation of your subscription status. We also collect basic device and usage information (such as app version and crash reports) to keep the Service working reliably.

Your photos

Your photos are used for exactly one purpose: printing your photobooks. They stay completely private. We never share them publicly, never use them in advertising or marketing, never use them to train AI or machine-learning systems, and never sell them or provide them to third parties except the printing and shipping partners who physically produce and deliver your books. We store your photos securely while your subscription is active so you can view your past books in the app. If you cancel or delete your account, your photos are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

How we use your information

We use your information to print and ship your monthly photobooks, manage your subscription and billing, respond to support requests, send you service emails (like shipping confirmations), and maintain and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run GrooveBook: printing and fulfillment partners (who receive your photos and shipping address to produce and mail your book), payment processors (Apple, Google, or our card processor, depending on how you subscribe), and infrastructure providers that host our systems. Each is permitted to use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your photos and personal information within 30 days, except for limited records we're required to keep for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. You can delete your account in the app or by emailing us at noah@groovebook.app.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through the app or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what information we hold about you and to request its deletion. We honor these requests for all users regardless of location — just email us.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be at least 18 to create an account and subscribe. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
